Acer announces Switch Alpha 12 liquid-cooled 2-in-1 laptop in this year. This one is the world’s first liquid-cooled 2-in-1 laptop. Nowadays every laptop user wants to remove the whirring fans from laptops and 2-in-1 hybrid computers. But this often defines using a less power chip that is similar to the Intel Core M. Now Acer solves this problem for the laptop user by bringing the Switch Alpha 12 in the market. This is a new silent hybrid laptop that erases the modest. The laptop has cooler chips and it is just perfect for a 6th Generation Intel Core CPU (Skylake). The laptop uses a liquid-cooled system that’s why it doesn’t make any noise like old fans. For the first time in the world this sort of cooling system is used in a laptop like this.
Actually this isn’t the first time a liquid-cooled laptop has developed. Before Acer, Asus released a great gaming laptop previous year and named it the GX700, but it was only liquid-cooled while plugged into a huge desktop radiator attachment. That laptop didn’t get so much popularity even gamers didn’t like it too. On the other hand the Switch Alpha 12 is fully self-controlled, making it much more desirable mainstream product. Users don’t need to know or think about the liquid-cooled system as it is developed so efficiently to give the best performance ever. User just need to know that the laptop is scarily fast and doesn’t have any noise making fans.
The most amazing fact about this laptop is that the Switch Alpha 12 doesn’t need a heavy radiator or pump to make it liquid-cooled and the credit of this amazing design goes to a design Acer calls Liquid Loop Cooling. A close pipe contains the liquid that uses the heat created by the CPU to circulate via the pipe.
The display resolution of this hybrid laptop is a perfect 2160×1440 which is similar to the Macbook’s Retina Display. The USB Type-C port includes up to two external 4K displays too. There’s also an Active Pen for Alpha 12.
The price of this laptop starts from $599 and accessories are around $100-$150.
